Description
A unique opportunity to join a growing, independent cardiology practice in a Buffalo NY Suburb.
Exceptional starting compensation - Exceptional lifestyle - Stay connected to academic medicine - No weekend hospital coverage
SALARY:
- Starting salary: $650,000 + $50K Sign in Bonus - payable at start of employment or as a monthly stipend during your final year of fellowship (subject to a standard commitment agreement).
JOB HIGHLIGHTS:
- Join 4 cardiologists + 4 APPs in an established, growing group
- Single suburban location in one of the most desirable Buffalo suburbs — minimal commute
- Predictable Monday–Friday schedule
- No weekend hospital coverage, no mandatory hospital call
- 1-in-5 call, outpatient-only — averaging fewer than 2 calls per weekday evening
- Modern 11,000 sq. ft. facility — 8 echo/stress labs, 2 nuclear cameras, full non-invasive scope including ABI testing, carotid Doppler, EKG, Holter, and event/MCT monitoring
- Prompt access to electrophysiology, coronary angiography/interventions, and cardiac surgery
- On-site and off-site transcription and EMR — no burning evenings on point-and-click notes
- Mentoring for new graduates — always someone to run a patient by or review a diagnostic study
Home Early, Twice a Week (Starting year 3)
- Done seeing patients by mid afternoon, twice a week, every week. Last patient at 2:45 pm.
- No need to burn a vacation day for a doctor's appointment, the bank, or just getting home in time to live your life
- Structurally equivalent to about 24 additional days away from patient care each year
- Built directly into your regular schedule — nothing to request, nothing to bank
Stay Connected to Teaching — Without Losing Your Weekends
This is the part that makes the opportunity genuinely rare.
- Optional role on the inpatient teaching cardiology consult service at Buffalo General Medical Center / Gates Vascular Institute, a major teaching affiliate of the Jacobs School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences at the University at Buffalo
- Round with cardiology fellows and internal medicine residents - keep the parts of training you actually loved: teaching, case discussion, the intellectual challenge of inpatient cardiology
- Even with the inpatient role, there is no weekend hospital coverage. Your weekends stay protected either way.

- 90 minutes to Toronto, under an hour to Niagara Falls
