We are in search of a n Inpatient Pharmacist for an acute care hospital located in Southeastern NM.

Retail and New graduate Pharmacist are accepted

We are looking for a community pharmacist that wants to be part of a team that is dedicated to supporting each other in the day-to-day operations and challenges today's community pharmacy is facing. Our mission is to improve patient outcomes both on hospital admission with medication reconciliation, on discharge with discharge medication dispensation, and in their day-to-day daily life outside the hospital.

The ideal candidate will:
\n
Staff in the outpatient pharmacy and collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams both inside and outside the hospital to fulfill hospital discharge orders while balancing the needs of our community patients that we serve
\n
Staff rotating Medication Reconciliation Pharmacist shifts with our other outpatient pharmacy staff pharmacists
\n
-Be adaptable and ready to collaborate with your pharmacy team (inpatient and outpatient) and all area healthcare providers
\n

QUALIFICATIONS:
\n
Education:
\n
Graduate of an ACPE accredited School of Pharmacy with a BS or PharmD Pharmacy degree.
\n
Current license to practice pharmacy in the state of NM or must obtain within 60 days of hire
\n
Immunization Certified with active BLS card
\n
\n
Skills:
\n
Able to work independently with minimal direct supervision
\n
Able to handle frequent interruptions and adapt to changes in workload and work schedule.
\n
\n
Able to set priorities, make critical decisions, and respond quickly to emergency requests.
\n
Able to meet the pharmaceutical needs of neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult, geriatric, psychiatric, oncologic, obstetric, chemically dependent and rehabilitation patient.

Downtown, Lake Beach Park has picnic and swimming areas, plus an adjacent water park. Living Desert Zoo & Gardens has mountain lions, bison and native plants. Northwest, Brantley Lake is full of activities.

This town is located on the southeastern side of New Mexico around the Pecos River. This city is known for Potash mining, tourism, and Petroleum Production.

The city is also called "The Pearl on the Pecos" because the city lies around the Pecos River. This city is filled with various lovely sights and attractions.

Candidate Details

Rate: USD $100,000 to $155,000
Qualifications
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
- National Institutes of Health (NIH)
- Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.
- Active unencumbered Pharmacist New Mexico state license
- Graduate from a fully accredited Pharmacist program
- One year of work experience as Pharmacist
- One year of EMR experience
- Board Certified
- Graduate of an ACPE accredited School of Pharmacy

- Ability to take initiative and to exercise independent judgment, decision-making and problem-solving expertise.
- A can-do, team oriented attitude is essential, as the ability to work independently and to interact easily with physicians, other managers and staff throughout the department and hospital.
- Effective interpersonal/communication, organizational, and the flexibility to handle multiple tasks.
