Description: \nThe RN Perioperative Circulator provides professional nursing care to pediatric patients undergoing operative or invasive procedures. This role plans, coordinates, delivers, and evaluates nursing care for patients whose protective reflexes or self-care abilities are potentially compromised. Utilizing clinical knowledge, judgment, and evidence-based practice, the perioperative nurse addresses the physical, psychological, and spiritual responses of the patient to ensure safe and effective care within the perioperative environment.

Qualifications
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
- National Institutes of Health (NIH)
- Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.
- Active unencumbered Registered Nurse Oklahoma state license
- Graduate from a fully accredited Registered Nurse program
- One year of work experience as Registered Nurse
- One year of EMR experience
- Board Certified
- Minimum 1 year of experience in an acute operating room environment.
- Knowledge of professional nursing theory, practices, techniques, and procedures.
- Excellent understanding of AORN (Association of periOperative Registered Nurses) standards.
- Ability to organize, plan, coordinate, and evaluate nursing services.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to maintain good working relationships with colleagues.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a high-acuity environment.
- Basic computer skills for documentation and reporting.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or higher from a Board Approved Program.
- Current RN License issued by the Oklahoma State Board of Nursing, or a current multistate compact RN License (eNLC).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) issued by the American Heart Association.
- Certified Nurse Operating Room (CNOR).

- Knowledge of and dedication to the highest patient care and provide the utmost service excellence to all patients.

- A can-do, team oriented attitude is essential, as the ability to work independently and to interact easily with physicians, other managers and staff throughout the department and hospital.

Responsibilities:
- Provide direct and indirect professional nursing care to patients in the operating room.
- Evaluate and document all components of care delivered using the nursing process.
- Individualize patient care based on health status, age, and the specific surgical or invasive procedure.
- Coordinate with the surgical team to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality perioperative care.
- Monitor patient status and intervene appropriately during procedures.
- Maintain adherence to AORN standards and hospital policies.
- Collaborate effectively with colleagues and multidisciplinary teams to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
