About the Programme
The DYNAMIS Doctoral Programme (Yielding Novel Advancements in Medicine and Innovative Solutions) is a new EU-cofunded PhD initiative at IDIBAPS, designed to attract and train 10 outstanding early-stage researchers in translational medicine. Hosted within one of Europe’s leading biomedical research centers, DYNAMIS provides an exceptional environment for interdisciplinary, intersectoral, and international training in health and disease research.
Position Overview
Selected fellows will conduct a four-year PhD project under joint supervision from basic/translational and clinical researchers. Projects will be embedded in IDIBAPS’ research lines spanning neuroscience, oncology, cardiovascular diseases, liver and digestive disorders, infectious diseases, and more.
Each fellow will:
-Develop an original, high-impact doctoral research project aligned with IDIBAPS’ mission.
-Participate in structured training in scientific, technical, and transferable skills.
-Undertake international and/or intersectoral secondments (mobility periods) in partner institutions.
-Engage in seminars, mentoring, and networking activities across IDIBAPS and its partners.
-Complete a PhD degree through an affiliated Spanish university.
What We Offer
-A 48-month employment contract as a predoctoral researcher (R1 level).
-Annual gross salary: approximately €30,700, plus family allowance (€4,900/year) if applicable.
-Enrollment fees in a doctoral programme at a Spanish university covered by the project.

Requirements
Eligibility Criteria:
-Candidates must not already hold a PhD at the time of recruitment.
-Comply with the transnational mobility rule: applicants must not have resided or carried out their main activity (work or study) in Spain for more than 12 months in the 36 months prior to the call deadline.
-Hold a Master’s degree or equivalent that allows enrollment in a doctoral programme in Spain.
-Demonstrate strong academic performance, motivation, and proficiency in English.
-Open to candidates from diverse scientific backgrounds (biomedical, clinical, computational, or engineering fields).
