Collaborating with a medical center in southwestern New Hampshire that has an opportunity for a Gastroenterologist to provide locum inpatient coverage.

Opportunity Overview:

• Schedule: 24/7 call coverage, Friday 7:30a to following Friday 7:30a
• Beeper call, 1:4
• 3 endoscopy suites and 4 GI exam rooms
• Patient Volume: 11-14 cases per day, 0-8 IP patients per day, 1-3 IP consults per day
• Procedure Volume: 100-130 endoscopies per month
• Patient Ages: Adult only
• Cases: 80% endoscopies
• EMR: Epic
• Must be board-certified
• Paid travel & expenses

Qualifications

• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
• National Institutes of Health (NIH)
• Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.
• Active unencumbered Gastroenterologist New Hampshire state license
• Graduate from a fully accredited MD or DO program
• One year of work experience as a Gastroenterologist
• One year of EMR experience
• Board Certified

• A can-do, team oriented attitude is essential, as the ability to work independently and to interact easily with physicians, other managers and staff throughout the department and hospital.
• Effective interpersonal/communication, organizational, and the flexibility to handle multiple tasks.
