Partnered with a hospital in central Virginia that has an opportunity for an Emergency Medicine physician to provide locum coverage.

Opportunity Details:

• Schedule: 12-hour day, night, or weekend shifts
• No call shifts
• Annual Volume: 14k patients
• EMR: Meditech
• Must be board-certified or board-eligible
• Paid travel & expenses

During your time off, hike forested trails leading to waterfalls, mountain overlooks, and hidden swimming holes, camp beneath the stars in state parks, and stroll through a quaint downtown.

Qualifications

• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
• National Institutes of Health (NIH)
• Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.
• Active unencumbered Emergency Medicine Physician Virginia state license
• Graduate from a fully accredited Emergency Medicine Physician program
• One year of work experience as Emergency Medicine Physician
• One year of EMR experience
• Board Certified

• Participates in relevant continuing education programs.
• Knowledge of and dedication to the highest patient care and provide the utmost service excellence to all patients.

• A can-do, team oriented attitude is essential, as the ability to work independently and to interact easily with physicians, other managers and staff throughout the department and hospital.
• Effective interpersonal/communication, organizational, and the flexibility to handle multiple tasks.
