Description
The University of Iowa Division of Cardiovascular Medicine in the Department of Internal Medicine is recruiting a board-certified interventional cardiologist at the rank of Assistant Professor, Associate Professor or Professor. This position will be in the tenure or clinical (non-tenure) track, depending on qualifications. Appointment at the rank of Instructor (non-track) may also be considered.
Patient care will occur at the University of Iowa’s University Campus, University of Iowa Healthcare’s Downtown campus, affiliated outreach sites, and the affiliated Iowa City VA Medical Center. Duties will include diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization, inpatient rounding, outpatient clinic and a share of overnight/weekend call.
Requirements:
Candidates must have an M.D. degree or equivalent.
The successful candidate must have completed an ACGME-accredited cardiology fellowship and an accredited interventional cardiology fellowship program or equivalent.
Must have excellent interpersonal skills and enjoy interactions with students, staff and faculty.
Board certification in cardiology and interventional cardiology.
Desirable qualifications:
Applicants with evidence of a strong commitment to teaching are preferred.
