Collaborating with a medical center in southern Texas that has an opening for an Emergency Medicine Physician to provide locum coverage.

Opening Highlights:

• Schedule: 12-hour shifts, 6a-6p or 6p-6a
• No call shifts required
• Trauma Level III
• Annual Volume: 48,000 patients
• Daily Volume: 131 patients
• Backup Specialties: Internal medicine, pediatrics, cardiology, GI, OB, neurology, neurosurgery, ENT, orthopedics, surgery, cath lab
• Support Staff: APPs
• EMR: Cerner
• Must be board-certified or board-eligible
• Paid travel & expenses

Qualifications

• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
• National Institutes of Health (NIH)
• Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.
• Active unencumbered Emergency Medicine Physician Texas state license
• Graduate from a fully accredited Emergency Medicine Physician program
• One year of work experience as Emergency Medicine Physician
• One year of EMR experience
• Board Certified

• Knowledge of and dedication to the highest patient care and provide the utmost service excellence to all patients.

• A can-do, team oriented attitude is essential, as the ability to work independently and to interact easily with physicians, other managers and staff throughout the department and hospital.
• Effective interpersonal/communication, organizational, and the flexibility to handle multiple tasks.
